Project: Landers Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram
Location: Little Rock, Arkansas
Architect: Black Corley Owens + Hughes Architects

UPDATE: April 8, 2013 - The new Landers Dodge Chrylser Jeep Facility is now open !! Located at 401 Colonel Glenn Plaza Loop - behind the Rave Theater - on the hill. 

This new 43,000 square foot Landers Dodge Chrysler Jeep Facility includes a new showroom area, offices, quick lube, and service areas. The interior includes sealed concrete, custom porcelain tile, painted gyp walls with custom graphics and acoustical ceiling. The exterior features an aluminum composite metal panels (ACM) at the entry, storefront, concrete block walls, EIFS, a flat membrane roof typical, and a standing seam roofing system over the shop areas. 


 

 

 


Project: Mid-South Community College Wellness Center
Location: West Memphis, AR
Architect: PKM Architects

 The new 23,000 square foot Wellness Center/Safe Room project is under construction.  The project includes a Multipurpose Gymnasium with a movable stage and bleachers, Weights & Cardio Area, Men’s and Women’s Lockers, 2 Classrooms, Office Area, Training Room, and Laundry Area.  This is the second project Kinco will complete for Mid-South Community College utilizing the alternative delivery method.  


Project: Pulaski Technical College Culinary Arts & Hospitality Center
Location: North Little Rock, Arkansas
Architect: Taggart Foster Currence Gray Architects

Kinco was recently selected as General Contractor for the 50,000 square foot new Culinary Arts and Hospitality Center to be located on the Pulaski Technical College South Campus.  The facility will include large commercial kitchens, culinary training areas, café’, banquet areas, lab space, hospitality training areas, classrooms, and administrative offices.  The project is to be completed utilizing Building Information Modeling (BIM) and is being designed to achieve LEED certification.

Building occupancy is scheduled to be fall semester 2013.

 


Project: University of Arkansas Hotz Hall
Location: Fayetteville, AR
Architect: SCM Architects

 This 9-story facility was originally constructed in the 1960’s. It encompasses approximately 95,000 square feet. The project includes extensive demolition. New windows will be installed along with new mechanical and electrical systems. The project goal includes maintaining the historic fabric of the original design while incorporating new features that will be attractive to the 21st century student. The residence hall will be renovated to achieve a more open and welcoming lobby floor through the use of glazing and wall revisions. Each floor’s common areas will become more open to foster student events and gatherings. Additionally, small “niche” areas will be created throughout the residence hall to encourage relation and study areas. Project is being designed to achieve LEED Silver Equivalent.


Project: U of A at Monticello - Bankston & Horsfall Renovations
Location: Monticello, Arkansas
Architect: SCM Architects

 Originally built in 1968, this 66,458 SF residence hall will under go an extensive renovation that will include a new exterior façade and roof, new heating and cooling system, refinished doors & hardware, carpeting, wall covering and ceiling. Changing from the community bathroom dorm-style to the two-person suite-style living area will give Bankston Residence Hall an additional 75 beds to the current 245 beds. 

 

The second phase will be the renovation of the bathrooms in the 7,625 SF Horsfall Residence Hall. Bathrooms will be converted to spa style, increasing their size while allowing for more privacy. Originally constructed in 1934 as a women’s resident hall, it is one of the oldest buildings on campus. It is home to approximately 124 students.
