Leiterman Named Emerging Professional by Arkansas Construction Hall of Fame
The Arkansas Construction Ceremony has named Kinco project manager Michael Leiterman as its 2026 Emerging Professional. He was recognized at the Arkansas Construction Hall of Fame induction ceremony on April 23, 2026, at Chenal Country Club in Little Rock.
Michael has been surrounded by construction his entire life. He was born in Green Bay, Wisconsin, moved to Little Rock after second grade, and graduated from Little Rock Central High School. Many days when school was not in session were spent riding around visiting his dad’s construction job sites.
Michael attended Oklahoma State University, where he initially pursued a degree in agricultural engineering and was a member of Phi Delta Theta. During college, he worked as a laborer for two summers with his father in Fayetteville and was a part-time carpenter for C-Star Property Management in Stillwater. In addition to classwork and his part-time job, Michael ran Leiterman Custom Furniture, building heirloom-quality furniture. These experiences ultimately led him to change his major to construction engineering technology and pursue a career in the construction industry.
After graduating, Michael started with Kinco Constructors in Little Rock as a project coordinator. Near the completion of the first project, the CARTI Surgery Center, he was promoted to project manager and started managing his own jobs. His approach relies on relationship-building, coordination, and the maintenance of cost and schedule control to deliver successful projects for owners. Having grown up around job sites, he brings a field-minded approach to project management and values working closely with subcontractors and design partners to address challenges and keep the project moving forward.
Outside of work, Michael stays active in the construction community. He serves on the Associated General Contractors (AGC) Construction Leadership Council (CLC) as the secretary and community service chair, where the group has completed several hands-on service projects for nonprofits, including Camp Aldersgate and Deliver Hope. Michael also participated in Leadership Greater Little Rock’s Class XL, further strengthening his commitment to serving the region and the continued growth of Central Arkansas.
